Jillian Mayer's FollowBack is a performative study in which the artist examines our affirmation economy, and the futile feedback loops that govern our digital lives.

As a part of this work in-progress, Mayer stages BIKE4LIKE, invoking Duchamp’s first readymade Bicycle Wheel from MoMA's collection. Re-imagining the canonical object in her MoMA PS1 debut in Past Skin, currently on view, her Slumpie sculptures position themselves as the new basic seating object.

Accompanying this performance is her looping video You'll Be Okay (2014) and the premiere of Slumpie 70, a new, streamlined, ergonomic Slumpie sculpture for the post-postural phone-and-leisure-loving slumper on-the-go.
Great for family camping trips and music festivals.
